This cafe is in fact a little Italian with Italian spins on some cafe standards (like mozzarella on a vegetarian breakfast!) and panchetta with scrambled eggs. Excellently there is a mini-soft play/toddler play area upstairs so great if you have one of those. Points off as really rather cold up there and pretty much everyone I saw had their order delivered wrong.
Verdict: Ok if no kids, Awesome with kids

Pretty small but lovely cafe with a very cosy friendly vibe. Totally amazing breakfast hashes – crispy potatoes and loads of cheese on top whatever you’ve ordered. Huge too!

A pretty standard caff type place, but decent seating, clean and with friendly staff. Some very cheap options (eg egg on toast for £2), ok but not the best.

Really solid cafe with a rustic interior and an excellent menu; eggs benedict in particular generous with bacon and happy hen eggs. Lots of nice space!

Specialist in Italian toasties, which is a thing maybe? Anyway, it’s cramped but pleasant, and the owners are delightful, but it’s simply not worth the money. I enjoyed my ham and cheese toastie, but it wasn’t as good as one would expect from a specialist, and especially not as good as one would expect when being charged £6.20.

Smallish cafe that we went to for breakfast. Food really tip top and very reasonably priced. Not their fault, but avoid Dalston cola! Only downside is not much seating so probably gets very busy of a weekend.

The cafe of St Ann’s Well Gardens, a decent sized interior and loads of outdoor seating for summer goodness. Not fancy, but mostly pretty good sandwiches, chips and cake; just take care if they try and go fancy on the specials (an £8 mezze platter was fine, but tiny).
Verdict: Ok

Little cafe with attached off-licence/fancy food shop. Had a brownie and a drink and it was fine, this cafe leans towards a “caff” with bacon sandwiches and the like so would suggest best when you want that.
Verdict: Ok
