Tiny reviews of Brighton food and drink
I think I’d be keen to try their restaurant, but can’t recommend the takeaway. Had a half crispy duck which was really good, but also got a main course of spicy beef. It was ok, but it was £12 and a joke of a portion.

We’d heard about this outfit for a long time, and ultimately a bit disappointing. Yes, good amount of protein in the curries for sure. But starters very weak, and mains – one pretty good, the other so-so. Better available.
Edit: This review was for a takeaway during lockdown. Have just been to dine in, and it was really good. Usual Thai options, but then the option of “crispy” chicken, prawns etc on your curry – floured and fried, and amazing. Starter type salad spicy and tasty too, so revising verdict up.

Beautiful chicken tenders, pretty ok fries for a delivery. But not good enough for almost £11 for 6 tenders!

Deliveroo Editions of a brand I’ve heard of but never had. Had one of their preconfigured grilled chicken burritos, and I really enjoyed that it was a bit different – chargrilled flavour. Good chips and guac too. Not my favourite burrito, but worth a go for sure.

Only tried one thing: a 12″ garlic and mozzarella pizza bread. And it was quite expensive, but so so worth it.

Proper dirty curry takeaway; everything was delicious because it was very bad for us. Have to not eat too much to avoid having it sit inside you for a long time, but that’s not its fault!

Had Deliveroo of this Lebanese restaurant, and it was really great. The mezze platter was massive and came on a proper separated tray, and my grilled chicken was fresh and flavourful. Not the cheapest for this sort of cuisine but worth it.

Tricky, as I didn’t have much standard Chinese stuff. I had chips, which were excellent actually, and wontons, which had way too much pastry to filling. Then I had a combination salt and pepper – chicken, squid, king prawn & ribs. The chicken was amazing, the squid and ribs chewy and boring, and there was one thing I’m not sure what it was. So on balance not a great choice.

Delivery only place, I tried pancetta mac with a free cheesy garlic bread. And I enjoyed it, I guess, the garlic bread was cheesy but not very garlicy, the mac I feel would be pretty great fresh in a restaurant but it was kind of half and half delicious and just ok, hence the verdict.
